6 No-Crunch Exercises For Six Pack Abs

Renegade RowI found a good article today that talks about spicing up your ab exercises with a little variety so you don’t get bored doing the same old thing all the time.  I think this is a great idea.  If you are trying to get six pack abs, you are going to have to work hard and stick with it so it is important to keep yourself interested.  What better way to do that then to change things up from time to time.

The article goes over 6 exercises that will help you get six pack abs without doing any crunches.  A lot of people hate crunches, so if you are one of those people then this could be your answer.  When I first started reading the article, my first impressions was that the author has been reading The Truth About Six Pack Abs by Mike Geary (which, by the way, is a great program).  In any case, these are some good abdominal exercises.  You can read the full descriptions of each exercise in the original article.  If you don’t need explanations and rather just get right to it, here is the list:

Six Pack Abs Exercises

  1. The Renegade Row
  2. Raised-leg Single-leg Squat
  3. Side Leg Raises
  4. Cable Woodchoppers
  5. Lunge With Ball Pass-off
  6. Stability Ball Jack-Knife

Give these a try and see what you think.  Remember to stay creative with your workouts and change things up every now and then.  If you have some good alternative ab exercises that you have found to be effective, leave a comment so we can all benefit.
