More Than Just A Hot Body

A recent study by the Washington University School of Medicine, showed that there are more benefits to exercise than just losing weight and getting a six pack. The study showed a significant cardiovascular improvement in the individuals that took part in the two year study. The participants were asked to keep their diets between 1,200 and 1,500 for women and between 1.500 and 1.800 for men and they were asked to exercise three and a half hours a week. All of the participants were considered to be moderately obese at the start of the study. You can read more about the study at

I like this study because it shows that just a little bit of improvement in weight loss can make meaningful improvements in the health and function of your heart. It is easy to think that getting in shape is all about being vain and wanting others to think you have a nice body. It is important to remember that there are health benefits as well, and ultimately the health benefits are more important. If you’ve let your health slip over the years, there is no time like the present to decide to make a change. Get on a good exercise program today and your heart will thank you tomorrow.
