52 Tips To Help You Lose Weight

I recently found a list of 52 things you can do to help yourself lose weight and get a six pack on a blog called Marin Mommies. You may be wondering what The Ab Man is doing reading a blog for mommies. Well, my objective is to find all the useful weight loss and fitness information and resources that I can and put them here in one place so you don’t have to waste time scouring the internet. Sometimes that takes me to sites for mommies.

The list of 52 tips is catered to mothers and women, but I believe that most weight loss and fitness advice applies equally to both genders and this list is no exception. If you are a man, just change some of the wording or circumstances and you will find that these tips will work for you.

Tips To Help You Lose Weight And Get A Six Pack

  • Put your fork down between bites. This is great advice because it takes some time for your stomach to signal to your brain that you have had enough to eat. Anything you can do to slow down your eating is a good idea.
  • Don’t go to the grocery store hungry. This is a no-brainer. When you are hungry you will buy stuff you don’t need and you are more likely to buy junk food.
  • Don’t buy junk food and don’t keep any in your house. If you don’t have it, you won’t be tempted to eat it when you are sitting around the house in the evenings.
  • Go for a walk after dinner. Put that food to work instead of sitting on the coach and letting it turn to fat.
  • Make stretching a part of your workouts. You should stretch before and after you workout. You will see better results from your workouts if you follow this advice.
  • Get enough sleep. This is how your body recuperates and repairs itself after you have exercised. If you don’t get enough sleep, you won’t get the full benefits of all the hard work you are doing to get in shape.
  • Stop drinking soda. This includes diet soda. Learn to love water. The benefits of drinking water are many and it’s cheaper too.
  • On days that you are tempted to skip your workout, try doing a quick 10 minute workout instead. It will be easier than your full workout and it will help you train your mind not to allow yourself to skip workouts. Once you start skipping workouts, it’s hard to stop skipping.

There are lots of little things you can do to help yourself get in shape. If you want a lose weight and have great abs, it’s just as important to train your mind as it is to train your body. The tips on this list focus on both aspects of getting in shape and so should you.
