They are both great programs. Both of them will help you lose weight and get six pack abs. So, which one should you use? I say use both of them. Do a round of P90X and then keep it going with Insanity.</p>
<p>I know, that&#8217;s not the answer you were looking for. So, let&#8217;s get to the heart of it and take a look at some of the similarities and differences between the two programs.</p>
<h3>P90X And Insanity Similarities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Both programs are in-home DVD programs</li>
<li> Both programs are very intense</li>
<li> They are priced the same (S&amp;H is $5 more on Insanity)</li>
<li> There is a nutrition plan with both programs</li>
<li> Both programs come with a money back guarantee</li>

<h3>P90X And Insanity Differences</h3>
<ul>
<li>P90X is a 90 day program and Insanity is a 60 day program</li>
<li> P90X requires dumbbells and a pull-up bar and Insanity only uses your own body weight</li>
<li> P90X is a 7 day a week program and Insanity is a 6 day a week program</li>
<li> P90X workouts are longer than Insanity workouts</li>
<li> P90X is more low-key than Insanity</li>

<p>The bottom line is, both programs will give you results. You have to pick the one that feels like the best fit for you. Insanity is more intense than P90X, but P90X is a bigger time commitment than Insanity. It&#8217;s a bit of a trade-off. My suggestion is to pick the one that you are most likely to stick with. Insanity focuses on a lot of plyometric type moves while P90X has you doing everything from plyometrics to resistance training to yoga. If you like ploymetrics, <a href="/details.php?p=p90x" target="_blank">give Insanity a shot</a>. If variety is more appealing to you, <a href="/details.php?p=insanity" target="_blank">try out P90X</a>. Whatever you decide, you can&#8217;t go wrong. If you can&#8217;t make up your mind, get them both. That will give you a lifetime of killer workouts and it will cost you far less than a year at the gym.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sometimes, the best ab workouts don&#8217;t involve any traditional ab exercises. I found one such ab exercise routine that really nails your lower abs and doesn&#8217;t require any sit-ups, crunches, or any other exercises that you normally consider when coming up with an ab workout. I got this workout from Mike Geary, author of <em><a href="/details.php?p=taa&amp;id=taaKillerAbWorkout" target="_blank">The Truth About Six Pack Abs</a></em>.</p>
<p>This ab routine has three exercises: Renegade Dumbbell Rows, Front Squats with Barbell, and Mountain Climbers. Do eight reps of each exercise (do the mountain climbers for 30 seconds instead of eight reps) and do 3 &#8211; 4 sets. You can also do 5 sets of 5 reps per exercise. Rest 30 seconds between each exercise and rest one minute between sets. You can see a demonstration of each exercise in the videos below.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have heard several answers to this question. All of them can be boiled down into two camps, the workout-your-abs-everyday camp and the treat-your-abs-like-any-other-muscle camp. I am of the treat-your-abs-like-any-other-muscle persuasion. What this means is that you need to give your muscles adequate time to recover before you work them out again. It is during your recovery period that your body builds muscle tissue. If you are constantly breaking down the muscle tissue, without allowing your body to recover, your body will not be able to increase the size and strength of your muscles.</p>
<p>So, how long does it take for your abs to recover after you work them out? That is the tough part of the question. There is no right answer that fits everyone and every situation. There are several factors that come into play. A couple of things to consider are how used to working out your body is and how intensely you workout your abs. If you are just starting to workout your abs, it will take you longer to recover than someone who has been working out for years. If you do an extremely intense ab workout, like the <a href="/details.php?p=p90x" target="_blank">P90X Ab Ripper X</a> routine, it will take you longer to recover than if you do a <a href="/2010/02/16/quick-2-minute-ab-workout">quick 2 minute ab routine</a>.</p>
<p>You&#8217;re probably saying to yourself, &#8220;Thanks a lot, but this doesn&#8217;t answer my question. How am I supposed to know when I should workout my abs again?&#8221; Well, the best answer I can give you is to listen to your body. If you got a decent ab workout in, you should be a little sore the next day. This happens because you are breaking down your muscle tissue when you exercise. If you&#8217;ve done a good job of it, you&#8217;re going to feel it the next day. As you do the same exercises week after week, this soreness will be less severe (which may mean it&#8217;s time to step things up a notch). You can use this soreness to let you know when it&#8217;s time to workout your abs again. You don&#8217;t need to wait until the soreness is completely gone, but you should wait until it feels like it is starting to subside. Keep in mind that I&#8217;m not talking about massive amounts of pain here. The feeling in your muscles should tend more toward soreness than pain. If you are experiencing intense pain, it may be something you need to get checked out. In any case, you should be able to get a feel for it pretty quickly. Just allow your body to start feeling a little better before you go at it again.</p>

You&#8217;re not always going to have two hours to change into your workout clothes, drive to the gym and get in a solid hour of exercise. Don&#8217;t let that turn into an excuse for you. Even if you only have two minutes, you can still get in a decent ab workout and get that much closer to <a href="/get-a-six-pack">getting great six pack abs</a>. <p>You can do this ab workout just about anywhere. All you need is a few feet of available floor space and two free minutes. I happen to be wearing slacks and a dress shirt right now and I just laid down on the floor of my office and did this workout. It was intense enough that I felt the burn, but it didn&#8217;t make me sweat so it&#8217;s the perfect ab workout to do pretty much anytime and anywhere. Close the door to your office and knock it out or do it just before getting into bed at night. With a little bit of effort and creativity, anyone can find time to exercise.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A key ingredient to any weight loss program is motivation. Without an adequate amount of motivation, it won&#8217;t matter what diet or exercise program you choose because you won&#8217;t stick with it long enough to see results. That is what makes loosing weight difficult. For most of us, excuses are much easier to come by than motivation. While our own minds can drum up excuses with almost no effort at all, we often have to look to external sources to find something that motivates us. That is why I like to share weight loss success stories with you when I find them. When you see an everyday, normal, average person who has been successful in something that you want to accomplish, it is natural to think to yourself, &#8220;If that guy can do it, I certainly can.&#8221; My hope is that if I provide you with enough opportunities to have that thought, eventually those thoughts will turn into actions and you will decide it is time to prove that you can do it.</p>
<p>The weight loss story I want to share with you today is all about how easy it is to come up with excuses and how to overcome them. Take a couple minutes to watch this video and listen closely to what this man has to say about his excuses.</p>

<p>There are a few interesting things that stuck out to me in this video. First of all, this guy&#8217;s excuses were pretty typical. I&#8217;m sure his situation was difficult for him, but no more difficult than yours, mine, or anybody else&#8217;s situation. He was waiting for the ideal situation before he did anything to promote his health. The problem is, rarely will you find yourself in the ideal situation. Life will always be a distraction. If you&#8217;re going to lose weight, you have to want it more than you want your distractions. If you noticed what the guy said in the video, he didn&#8217;t want it enough. When the interviewer asked him why he didn&#8217;t at least take a walk three nights a week, he responded that he was just tired of his situation and wanted to eat. With that attitude, he was never going to lose weight. So what changed it for him? Well, this is the part of the video that I actually don&#8217;t think is a good example. It wasn&#8217;t until his excuses dried up that he decided to do anything about his weight. His life returned to normal and he realized that all the things he had been using as excuses were no longer a part of his life and he had nobody to blame but himself. I don&#8217;t recommend waiting until you get to that point because that point may never come for you. Your life might stay crazy and hectic forever. If you wait for things to settle down, you may never reach your weight loss goals.</p>
<p>If you are prone to making excuses, take some time this week to do some self evaluation. Look at the things in your life that are holding you back, your excuses. Are they legitimate or are they just excuses? What can you do to eliminate them or work around them? Start small and build upon your successes. Anything you can do to take you closer to your health and weight loss goals is better than nothing. Find what works for you. The man in this video lost 65 pounds using one of the <a href="/details.php?p=ediets" target="_blank">eDiets Meal Plans</a>. If that is the sort of thing that appeals to you, go for it. If not, find something that does. For you, maybe an <a href="/2010/01/04/will-beachbody-really-give-you-a-beach-body">in-home exercise program</a> is what you need. Whatever it is, there is no time like the present to get started down the path to a happier and healthier life.</p>
