I think it is a good representation of what you can expect from <a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=p90x" target="_blank">P90X</a>. <p>I originally started <a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=p90x" target="_blank">P90X</a> because after losing my job and changing careers I had quite a bit more time on my hands.  I had heard it was an intense but successful program and some friends of my wife gave us the program as a gift.  I was also eating terrible food and was in much need of a change of diet.</p>
<p>The Sunday before the first week we sat down and spent half the day planning out our meals.  We bought everything to make at home and adhered to the diet plan verbatum.  We measured everything out and only ate foods on the diet plan.  We didn&#8217;t eat any snack food and didn&#8217;t eat even an ounce over the specified portions.  We both felt 100% better within a day.</p>
<p>It was inevitable that over the course of the 90 days someone would invite us out for dinner or there would be a birthday party to attend.  So instead of completely losing track we would enjoy ourselves, but eat in moderation and even then still try to eat proper foods and portions.  If we were simply unable to eat good food then usually the change in one meal or being off diet for one day wouldn&#8217;t set us back and if anything it helped trick our systems or clean us out a little.</p>
<p>A typical day for us would be an omlet, two strips of turkey bacon, and a cup of grapes for breakfast.  A mid morning snack (allowed in the program).  A salad for lunch with lettuce, tomatoe, green peppers, 6 ounces of sliced turkey breast, and a squirt of non-fat dressing.  A protein bar mid afternoon.  A protein shake following the workout at 6pm made with 12oz. of skim milk then dinner after cooling down.  Dinner would be a meat of our choosing ie. 6 oz of lean beef, grilled chicken, a filet, a boca burger, pork loin etc. and a vegetable.  We began having our carbs with dinner but soon switched it to lunch for the extra energy in our workout.  I normally save my other half a dairy serving for the evening so I can have 4oz of yogart an hour before bed.</p>
<p>The first Monday, June 21,2010, I weighed in at 199lbs.  My goal wasn&#8217;t weight loss it was to get a nice six pack like I had in high school.  We popped in the first DVD and it kicked our @$$!  Everyday that week, day after day, it wore us out.  We could not even come close to finishing the workouts.  We did all we could do, took a break, and tried a little more.  The first two weeks were the hardest.  After that it stayed hard but was manageable.  The only reason this worked for me is because the diet was simple and I didn&#8217;t have to plan my own workout.  I could just put the DVD in and do what Tony was doing.  If I would have had to put in anymore effort than that you wouldn&#8217;t be reading this right now.  I also had to remain focused on each day individually.  I never looked at what exercise was next or watched a video ahead of time.  At the moment it was time to workout I looked at the book, put in the DVD and did what I saw.  I have finished <a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=p90x" target="_blank">P90X</a> and I still can&#8217;t complete every workout.  I have to modify routinely but I still do what I can.  It&#8217;s better than getting discouraged and doing nothing.</p>
<p>I weighed in the morning of the 90th day September 26, 2010 and weighed 168 lbs.  I had lost 31 lbs.  None of my pants fit anymore because I&#8217;ve gone from a 38 inch waist to a 34 inch waist.  I never tracked my body fat percentage but I&#8217;d imaging that the change is substantial.  I still have a little gut so I&#8217;ll keep working out to get my six pack, but I feel way better.  I still struggle everyday with the workouts, and if you&#8217;ve done the math you&#8217;ve realized that I missed a week. Because of a scheduling conflict I missed week twelve and had to redo it.  I stuck with the program because I set my mind to wanting to know that I could complete the program and see what the results would be&#8230;. no matter what.  I did not have a number in mind when I started and had NO EXPECTATIONS.  I only wanted to start and finish the program.  I recommend setting goals, but the goal that worked for me was &#8220;Finishing&#8221;.</p>
<p>I started <a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=p90x" target="_blank">P90X</a> over again yesterday.  We&#8217;ll see where it takes me in the next 90 days.  My wife and I had a gym membership for years and dropped it after we saw we could stick with the program.  We&#8217;ve used the savings to buy less than $100 in workout equipment.  There are a few more weights we need but that&#8217;ll come with time.  We buy a lot less food at the store.  We spend a lot less when we do shop and are able to buy better tasting food because of that.  Above all else we save TONS OF $$ since we eat at home 90% of the month.  We enjoy eating out but It&#8217;s hard to eat healthy when we do.</p>

		<title>Weight Loss vs Fat Loss &#8211; One Is Your Friend And One Is Your Enemy</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As I write various articles about weight loss, a little red flag pops up in the back of my mind whenever I use the words &#8220;weight loss.&#8221; Most of the time, I try to catch myself and change my wording to use &#8220;fat loss&#8221; instead. So what&#8217;s the big deal? Why am I getting caught up on semantics?</p>
<p>First of all, fat loss is more descriptive of what most people really want and need. We&#8217;ve all heard the &#8220;lose weight&#8221; message our whole lives; but when it comes down to it, fat is what we really need to lose and nothing else.</p>
<p>Secondly, when you concentrate on &#8220;weight loss&#8221; instead of &#8220;fat loss&#8221; then you tend to do stupid things. There are lots of products, programs, and diets out there that will help you lose weight. Unfortunately, many of them are unhealthy and unsustainable because they cause you to lose weight instead of fat.</p>
<h3>What Is Weight Loss?</h3>
<p>When you step on the scale, you see one simple number like 125, 163, 205, or 350. Since a bathroom scale is the easiest and most common way of judging your progress toward your health or fitness goals, you see this simple number and all you think about is making it smaller.</p>
<p>However, weight is not a simple number. Rather, it is a complex number determined by several factors like bone density, water retention, muscle mass, fat stores, position on earth, time of day, amount of food and liquid in your stomach, bathroom schedule, etc. If you decrease any of the factors that make up your weight, you will lose weight. This is why I don&#8217;t like the term weight loss. It encourages people to mess with some of the weight factors that should not be messed with. Worse than that, it encourages products and programs that mess with weight factors that should not be messed with.</p>
<h3>What is Fat Loss?</h3>
<p>Fat loss is much easier to define than weight loss. It is nothing more than burning up the excess fat on your body. This excess fat is the part of your total body weight that is responsible for poor health, poor body image, and poor physical fitness. Get rid of your excess body fat and you will be better off on multiple levels.</p>
<h3>Do It The Right Way!</h3>
<p>So, what is the right way to lose body fat? There are several things that can contribute to an effort to lose excess fat, but it is my experience that the single most effective thing you can do is build muscle. Muscle and fat are like light and darkness. When you turn on the lights in a dark room, the light fills the room and the darkness flees as a natural consequence. The process of building and maintaining muscle is very much like turning on the lights in a dark room. As a natural consequence of building lean muscle mass, excess fat begins to melt away and stay away.</p>
<p>I feel like a broken record for saying this, but the build-muscle-to-burn-fat principle is perfect for the ladies too. Don&#8217;t be afraid to build muscle. You&#8217;re not going to look like a body builder  just because you start lifting weights. Most men struggle to build large muscles and we have testosterone on our side. A woman&#8217;s body isn&#8217;t designed to naturally build large muscles, but it is designed to build sexy, feminine musculature that will turn the body in to a fat burning machine.</p>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re a man or a woman, you need to learn to love resistance training. If you are new to it, or just getting back into it, your body will need a little time to adjust. However, once you get used to it, there isn&#8217;t much better than the feeling that comes after a good workout.</p>
<p>So, forget about the diet pills, colon cleansing, celebrity diets and other nonsense that claims it will help you lose weight. It&#8217;s your excess body fat that you want to lose and it&#8217;s muscle that will help you do it. My two favorite muscle-building-for-fat-loss programs are <em><a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=yspq&amp;w=null&amp;id=nnmbFatLoss" target="_blank">No Nonsense Muscle Building</a></em> by Vince DelMonte and <em><a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=taa&amp;id=taaFatLoss" target="_blank">The Truth About Six Pack Abs</a></em> by <a href="http://www.theabman.com/2010/04/15/who-is-mike-geary">Mike Geary</a>. They are both great programs and I whole heartily recommend both of them. Check them out and get started losing fat the right way.</p>

<p>If you&#8217;re not a complete newbie to working out then you surely know about the plateau effect. This is where you start working out and see your strength and muscle mass continuously improving and then, all of a sudden, it stops. No more growth. No more strength increases. No matter what you try, you can&#8217;t seem to improve beyond your current level.</p>
<h3>I Can&#8217;t Grow Anymore. What&#8217;s Wrong With Me?</h3>
<p>You might think that something is wrong with you if you&#8217;re stuck in a plateau. Don&#8217;t worry, it&#8217;s completely normal and it happens to everyone. What you should be asking yourself is &#8220;can plateaus be avoided?&#8221; or &#8220;what can I do to bust through a plateau?&#8221;</p>
<p>The truth is that everyone&#8217;s body has a limit. There is a point at which your body simply cannot hold any more muscle. However, most people never reach that point and that&#8217;s not what I mean when I talk about a plateau. I&#8217;m talking about road blocks on the path to your true limit.</p>
<p>These road blocks are your body&#8217;s natural reaction to stress and most workout programs lead you right into them. These programs aren&#8217;t designed to bust through naturally occurring plateaus.</p>
<h3>How To Break Through Your Plateau</h3>
<p>There is, however, one muscle building program that is specifically designed to help you break through your plateau. The program is Vince DelMonte&#8217;s <em>Maximize Your Muscle</em>. This is a closed program that will be opening back up soon for only three days. <p>If you want to burn fat, gain muscle, and get in shape, then there is one thing that you need to learn more than anything else. Without understanding this one principle, you will never reach your body&#8217;s true potential. It&#8217;s not some earth shattering secret or anything, but you need to realize it and come to fully understand it. So here it is:</p>
<p>Physical fitness is as much mental as it is physical.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it. No secret exercises. No magic combination of sets and reps. No pills, powders or foods that strip the fat away in your sleep. The most powerful secret ingredient that you will ever find is your own mind. Learn to master your mind and you will be amazed what you can do with your body.</p>
<p>Now I&#8217;m not talking about meditating your fat away or anything like that. I&#8217;m talking about self control and having the will power to push yourself beyond the limits that others have set for you.</p>
<p>I mentioned in <a href="http://www.theabman.com/2010/08/24/maximize-your-muscle-blow-beyond-your-genetic-potential">my last post</a> that Vince DelMonte is about to reopen his <em>Maximize Your Muscle</em> program for three days. The focus of this program is helping you to &#8220;blow beyond your genetic potential.&#8221; One of the things that Vince focuses on is the power of your mind and how others can influence it.</p>
<p>As part of the <em>Maximize Your Muscle</em> program, you get a 2 CD set that contains an interview style overview of the program. I just finished listening to it and I was very impressed. Vince covered a lot of material, but one of the things that impressed me the most was the motivational aspect of it. He talks about how your friends, family, and others can influence your mind and hold you back from reaching your true potential.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to surround yourself with people that have similar goals as you and who will motivate you to reach your goals. If your friends and family are not those people, I&#8217;m not suggesting that you should abandon them, but it is important to make associations with new people that can provide the support you need.</p>
<p>It can be difficult to find and build those kinds of associations, but one good way to do it is through an online community. When you join the <em>Maximize Your Muscle</em> program, you will become part of an online community of people who are motivated and dedicated to the same things as you. All of the members of the program have access to a private forum and private monthly coaching calls. On top of that, you will get new content from Vince ever month that will be full of motivation.</p>
<p>You will be hard pressed to find that kind of support among your friends and family. Even if you try to  make a lot of new friends, it would be difficult to find a bunch of people that are that laser focused on your goals.</p>
<p>As a final note, I&#8217;ve talked a lot about the importance of the mind but I don&#8217;t want you to think that the physical side isn&#8217;t just as important. You have to know what you are doing if you want to get in great shape. Don&#8217;t worry though, <em>Maximize Your Muscle</em> will teach you everything you need to know to get into the best shape of your life.</p>

<p>I am a firm believer that building muscle is the best and quickest path to an amazing body. Not only does muscle look amazing, but it also burns fat. That is why I love Vince DelMonte&#8217;s programs, he stays focused on building lean muscle mass.</p>

		<title>Diet Cheat &#8211; Does A Day Of Overfeeding Help Your Diet?</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been reading a lot lately about the idea of purposefully being a diet cheat. There are several ways that I have seen this idea presented, but the basic concept is always the same. Sometimes it&#8217;s one or two meals, and sometimes it&#8217;s an entire day. Whatever the form, the point is that you stick to your diet all week and then you get to take a break.</p>
<h3>Example 1: Overfeeding</h3>
<p>I first heard the term overfeeding in <em><a href="http://www.theabman.com/2010/04/13/the-truth-about-six-pack-abs-package">The Truth About Six Pack Abs</a></em> by <a href="http://www.theabman.com/2010/04/15/who-is-mike-geary">Mike Geary</a>. This is the term that he uses to refer to taking one day a week to completely forget about your diet and basically eat whatever you want. Notice that I said basically. You still need to exercise some self control. This isn&#8217;t a free pass to go out and eat enough for three people.</p>
<p>Mike uses calories as a guideline. If you want to lose fat, you have to consume less calories than you expend. There is no way around it, that is just the basic science of it.</p>
<p>There is, however, more than one way to look at it. You can compare the calories that you eat to the calories you use on a daily basis, or you can look at your week as  a whole. For example, if you create a consistent caloric deficit six days a week and then splurge a little on the seventh day, you will still have a caloric deficit for the week as a whole. This is all assuming that you don&#8217;t go crazy on your overfeeding day.</p>

<h3>Example 2: Treat Meals</h3>
<p>I recently wrote a review of Jackie Warner&#8217;s book <a href="http://www.theabman.com/2010/07/08/this-is-why-youre-fat-and-how-to-get-thin-forever"><em>This Is Why You&#8217;re Fat</em></a>. The full title of the book is <em>This Is Why You&#8217;re Fat (And How to Get Thin Forever): Eat More, Cheat More, Lose More&#8211;and Keep the Weight Off</em>. You can see just from the title that Jackie is a proponent of being a diet cheat.</p>
<p>Jackie&#8217;s approach is to allow yourself to have two &#8220;treat meals&#8221; on the weekend. That&#8217;s one treat meal on Saturday and one on Sunday. She gives a couple of guidelines that you should follow. The first one is that you only get to have your treat meals if you stick to your diet during the five preceding days. The second guideline is that you should keep each treat meal under 1,500 calories. Other than that, you can pretty much go nuts for those two meals.</p>
<h3>Why You Should Be A Diet Cheat</h3>
<p>There are two reasons why you should consider being a diet cheat. The first reason is psychological and the second reason is physiological.</p>
<p>The psychological reason is pretty simple. When you are on a diet (see note below), sometimes it can be difficult to stick with it, especially in the beginning. To make the adjustment easier, it is good to have a light at the end of the tunnel. If you know you have a cheat day coming, it is easier to stick with your diet. If you don&#8217;t have something like that built in, it becomes very tempting to just give up and go back to your old ways of eating.</p>
<p>The physiological reason has to do with the way your body reacts to a sustained caloric deficit. As you start consuming fewer calories than your body needs, your body will start drawing on your fat stores in order to sustain itself. Eventually, your body will think that you are starving and will respond by lowering your metabolism and increasing your appetite. This is the worst possible scenario for someone who wants to burn fat. Cheat days, with a higher caloric intake, can trick your body out of thinking that it is starving.</p>
<p>I think both of these points make sense. Physiologically, we are all pretty much made the same so the effects of going into starvation mode apply to us all. Psychologically, however, we are all a little different from each other. You have to evaluate yourself and decide if the psychological effects of having a cheat day will be positive or negative for you. If you are the type of person that will lose all self control if you allow yourself to cheat, then cheat days probably aren&#8217;t the way to go.</p>
<p>As always, give it a try and see how it works for you.</p>
<p><strong>Note On Dieting:</strong> I do not believe in dieting. I do believe in having a good diet. Hopefully you see the difference. Eating well should be a way of life and not a temporary way to reach a fat loss goal. Eating healthily over time will result in sustained fat loss. <p>I first heard of the Shake Weight a few months ago. I guess that made me a little late to the party, but that&#8217;s because I don&#8217;t watch much TV so I hadn&#8217;t seen the infomercials. I <a href="http://www.theabman.com/2010/04/20/shake-weight-for-men-shake-weight-for-women">wrote about the Shake Weight</a> when I first heard about it and I promised that I would try it out and write a review. I know it has taken me a while, but I&#8217;m finally delivering on my promise.</p>
<h3>What Is The Shake Weight?</h3>
<p>If you&#8217;ve never heard of the Shake Weight, the best way to explain it is to have you watch the videos available on the official website.  You almost have to see it to fully understand what it is. There are two versions, one for men and one for women. There is a different website for each one and you can see the videos at <a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=shakeweightmen" target="_blank">Shake Weight For Men</a> and <a href="http://www.theabman.com/details.php?p=shakeweightwomen" target="_blank">Shake Weight For Women</a>.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t want to watch the videos, I&#8217;ll try to explain it to you. Basically, it&#8217;s a dumbbell. It is shaped and looks like a dumbbell, but you don&#8217;t use it like a dumbbell. Instead of doing things like curls and shoulder presses with it, you just hold it in a static position and then shake it back and forth really fast. The weights on either end of the dumbbell oscillate as you shake it.</p>
<h3>What Do You Get With The Shake Weight?</h3>
<p>When you order your own Shake Weight, there will only be two things in the package when it arrives. You will get the dumbbell of course, but you will also get a workout DVD. The dumbbell comes in one piece, so there is no assembly required. The DVD is only six minutes long and it will walk you through the three exercises that you will need to get a complete upper body workout.</p>

<h3>Why I Like The Shake Weight</h3>
<p>The Shake Weight is a very interesting piece of workout equipment. I&#8217;ve never seen or used anything else like it. That is one of the reasons that I like it so much. I know that working out can be monotonous and boring if you do the same things all the time. With this dumbbell, you get to shake things up a little (Yes, pun intended. I couldn&#8217;t help myself.) which can keep things interesting.</p>
<p>I also like the fact that you can get a really good workout in a very short amount of time. I know you&#8217;re busy, and finding time to workout can be difficult. Well, there&#8217;s no excuse not to use this thing. The exercise DVD that comes with it only takes 6 minutes to complete. You may think that 6 minutes isn&#8217;t enough time to get a decent workout. Believe me, you&#8217;re going to feel the burn long before the 6 minutes is up. Don&#8217;t worry about that.</p>
<p>Another great thing about this dumbbell is that a lot muscle is engaged while using it. With a traditional dumbbell, you usually do curls, presses, etc. With those exercises you are moving in a single direction and engaging limited muscle fibers. With the shaking moved used with the Shake Weight, you are engaging more muscle and exercising areas that don&#8217;t usually get engaged.</p>
<h3>Why I Don&#8217;t Like The Shake Weight</h3>
<p>As you know, there are negatives to everything and as expected there are a few things I should point out here. When I first picked up the dumbbell, I was immediately surprised by the construction. I&#8217;m not sure what I was expecting, but my first impression was that it was cheaply made. I think the reason I felt that way is because it is made up mostly of plastic and rubber. I am used to dumbbells that are made entirely of metal so I was surprised by the plastic. After thinking about it though, I realized that it had to be made of plastic in order for it to work correctly and to keep the weight down to five pounds. After further examination, it appears to be well constructed and durable. At the same time, I wouldn&#8217;t go throwing it around as plastics have a tendency to crack.</p>
<p>Another thing to keep in mind is that it will take a little getting used to. Since the exercises you will be doing will be new to you, it will take a couple times to get the movements down right. The first time I used it, I had a little trouble with the movements. They felt awkward at first, but I had it down by my second time through the exercise DVD.</p>
<p>Now, let&#8217;s get to the big concern that everyone has. If this isn&#8217;t the first time that you&#8217;ve heard of the Shake Weight then you have probably seen all the spoof videos of people making fun of it. Let&#8217;s face it, the thing is goofy. I admit it, but for me the only thing that really matters is whether or not it works. I think it works really well and that&#8217;s good enough for me. It&#8217;s a piece of home workout equipment anyway, so you will be using it in the privacy of your own home. If your pride is more important to you than getting a good workout, then the Shake Weight is not for you.</p>
<h3>Why You Should Own A Shake Weight</h3>
<p>There are several reasons why you should own a Shake Weight, but I&#8217;ll just mention a few. First of all, it&#8217;s really light so it&#8217;s easy to take with you when you travel or if you need to exercise away from your home. The one for men only weighs five pounds and the one for women only weighs two and a half pounds.</p>
<p>Another reason that you should own one of these dumbbells is that you can get a great workout in a really short period of time. You can&#8217;t beat a six minute workout and that is all it takes with this dumbbell. I was really surprised at how much of a burn I got from following the exercise DVD. It&#8217;s also easy to ramp up your exercises as you start to get stronger. Just do the exercise longer or shake the weight harder and faster.</p>

<p>I saw this book on Amazon.com a few months ago and immediately thought it looked interesting, so I decided to read it. It was a quick and easy read and I liked it a lot so I decided I would review it for you. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand what causes us to get fat and how to overcome it.</p>
<h3>Meet The Author: Jackie Warner</h3>
<p>I can&#8217;t really put one specific label on Jackie Warner as she is/does a lot of things. As it relates to this book, the most important thing to know is that she is a fitness expert. She is also a gym owner, has her own television show, and is an all around entrepreneur. Beyond writing books, she has also made a few <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002L6HDAQ?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=roihouse-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B002L6HDAQ" target="_blank">exercise videos</a>.</p>
<h3>What&#8217;s In The Book?</h3>
<p>The book is divided into four parts:</p>
<p><strong>Part 1 &#8211; This Is Why You&#8217;re Fat</strong></p>
<p>In this section, Jackie talks about all the things that contribute to making you fat. She talks a lot about sugar and the way it effects various chemical processes in the body. She also talks about different organs in the body and how they play a part in making you fat or skinny.</p>
<p><strong>Part 2 &#8211; This Is How You Eat To Get Hot And Healthy</strong></p>
<p>In this section, you will learn all about Jackie&#8217;s approach to eating healthy. Her approach is different than most other diets. In fact, I&#8217;m not even sure you would call it a diet. She calls it a food plan.</p>
<p>One interesting part of this section is Jackie Warner&#8217;s 2-Week Jump Start. During the first two weeks of her program, all you worry about is making sure you are eating certain foods. You don&#8217;t have to stop eating anything you are currently eating or control yourself in any other way. All you have to do it is add in the foods on her list if you aren&#8217;t already eating them. It&#8217;s kind of like the opposite of a &#8220;diet.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Part 3 &#8211; This Is How You Exercise To Get Hot And Healthy</strong></p>
<p>Here is where you will learn all about the Jackie Warner exercise program. Just like the previous section, this section starts with a two week jump start. All you do during these two weeks is a 20 minute cardio routine five days a week. She even gives you six different routines to choose from so there is something for everyone.</p>
<p>After the two week intro, she will take you through her Power Circuits. This is Jackie Warner&#8217;s personal approach to circuit training. The best way to burn fat is to build muscle and this is the approach that Jackie takes. She focuses on strength training, but all of the exercises use only body weight or a small dumbbell.</p>
<p><strong>Part 4 &#8211; This Is How You Stay Hot And Healthy</strong></p>
<p>In this last section, Jackie focuses on getting your mind right. You may not believe it, but so much of physical fitness is in the mind. If you can&#8217;t get your mind right, you will never get the results you want. Jackie will take you through getting in the right mindset to stay thin for the rest of you life.</p>
<p>After Part 4, there are several appendices with some very useful resources. She includes several meal plans and recipes, a sample food journal, and a sample training log.</p>

<h3>Why I Like This Book</h3>
<p>There are several reasons why I think this is a great book. First of all, it is in line with my exercise and weight loss philosophy, so I know that the things she is saying are correct. Secondly, I like her writing style. As I said earlier, it is an easy read. I also like the layout of the book. The way Jackie takes you through it is very logical. The four parts of the book do a great job of taking you from beginning to end. She tells you why you&#8217;re fat, how to get skinny, and then how to stay skinny. It feels very complete.</p>
<p>Some other great things about this book are the meal plans and exercise routines. Jackie gives you great examples of what to eat and even gives you recipes you can follow. For the exercises, each one is illustrated by Jackie making it really easy to follow.</p>
<p>Last of all, the best thing about this book is Jackie&#8217;s program. Of all the weight loss programs out there, this one is really easy to follow. The meal plan isn&#8217;t too difficult and the exercises are rather simple. All you have to do is read it and do what it says.</p>
<h3>Why I Don&#8217;t Like This Book</h3>
<p>I don&#8217;t have many negative things to say about his book, however I will point out a couple things. First of all, this book was written by a woman for women. Throughout the book, Jackie makes it obvious that this book is for women by discussing things that are specific to the female body. This isn&#8217;t necessarily a negative (especially if you are a woman) but it does mean that certain parts of the book just won&#8217;t pertain to men. That being said, there is nothing about Jackie&#8217;s plan that doesn&#8217;t apply equally to men and women. I still recommend this book for men. They just need to gloss over the parts where she talks about breasts or getting a tone butt and legs so you will be attractive to men.</p>
<p>The only other complaint I have is with the Power Circuit routines. The routines are good, but there were a couple of things that weren&#8217;t immediately obvious to me when I read them. I had to take a minute to make sure I really understood how to complete the circuits. It wasn&#8217;t a big deal, but I thought the explanation could have been a little clearer.</p>
<h3>Why You Should Own This Book</h3>
<p>If you have struggled to lose weight, this book is for you. Jackie takes a different approach to weight loss because she knows how difficult it can be to stick with a diet and exercise routine. Her emphasis is on making her plan easy to follow and easy to stick with.</p>
<p>If you eat like most people eat, then this book is for you. So many of the things we are used to eating are responsible for making us fat. Even some of the foods that you think are healthy are actually contributing to making you fat. This book will educate you on exactly how you should be eating to get and stay thin forever.</p>
<p>If you have been doing countless hours of cardio with little to no results, this book is for you. Traditional cardio is not the answer to weight loss. You need to change the way you exercise to maximize your fat burning potential and this book will teach you how to do it.</p>
<h3>To Sum It Up</h3>
<p><em>This Is Why You&#8217;re Fat</em> by Jackie Warner is a great book for anyone who wants to lose weight and keep it off forever. Everything you need is contained within this book. If you are ready to make a positive change in your life then you should definitely check out this book.</p>
